How AskMambo Uses AI

What AskMambo Is

AskMambo is an AI-powered assistant built on top of third-party large language models provided through the OpenAI API. We design the product experience, prompts, and safeguards, and we use OpenAI’s API to generate text responses based on user input.

AskMambo does not train our own foundational AI models.

Training Data Summary

The foundational AI models accessed by AskMambo (via the OpenAI API) have been trained by OpenAI using a mix of:

  • Publicly available text

  • Licensed data

  • Data created by human trainers

This training was done by OpenAI and not by AskMambo. AskMambo does not have access to or control over OpenAI’s internal training datasets or their provenance.

California law requires a high-level summary of training data used by generative AI systems made available in the state. We provide the above description consistent with what is reasonably available to us and what OpenAI documents about their data usage.

How We Use Your Data

Data you submit while using AskMambo (your prompts and conversation content) is passed to OpenAI via the API to generate responses. AskMambo does not use your private conversation content to train its own models.

Per OpenAI’s API policy, data sent to the OpenAI API is not used to train or improve OpenAI’s models unless you or your organization explicitly opt in through OpenAI’s controls. OpenAI Platform

AskMambo provides general informational guidance about dog care. It is not a substitute for professional veterinary, medical, legal, or behavioral advice.

This page reflects how AskMambo uses and describes its AI systems as of the date below. We will update it if our implementation, AI partners, or relevant laws change.
